Tag it with a category (software, hosting, insurance, telecom, energy, or anything else you type — no fixed list) and optionally link it to a company you've already registered.
Status computed automatically
Active, ending (within 30 days of its end date), or expired — recomputed every time you view or edit it. An entry that's run its course resolves without you having to touch it.
Rolls into your cash-flow projection
Every active subscription feeds the cash-flow overview's upcoming-expenses projection — no separate step.
A worked example
A two-person web studio's recurring costs
A small web studio logs four rows: hosting at €29/month, design-software licences at €65/month, professional liability insurance at €480/year, and a ski-season equipment-insurance rider that only runs October through March. The first three are ordinary fixed-cadence entries; the fourth is set to annual recurrence with a month window, so it stays correctly "active" every October without anyone re-entering dates each winter. All four show up automatically in next quarter's cash-flow projection the moment they're logged.

Frequently asked questions
What counts as a subscription entry here?
Any fixed recurring cost — software, hosting, insurance, telecom, a lease, or anything else billed on a repeating schedule. It's a cost register, not a billing tool: BlueLandscape doesn't charge cards or manage vendor contracts.
What statuses can a subscription have?
Three: active, ending (its end date falls within 30 days), or expired (the end date has passed). Status is recomputed from the end date every time you view or edit the row, so it never goes stale.
Does a subscription renew itself?
By default, yes — auto-renew is on. Once the end date passes, the row rolls into its next term and stays active instead of expiring; turn auto-renew off if you'd rather have it drop off the projection at the end date.
Can I track a seasonal cost, like winter insurance that only runs October to March?
Yes — annual recurrence lets you set a month window instead of fixed dates. A row set to October through March is always active in-season and never wrongly flags as ending or expired outside it.
Is there a cost to using the subscriptions register?
No. It's free, bundled with every account, with no entitlement gate — the same as Bank Accounts and the Cash Flow overview.
