Current balance, inflow, outflow, and net for a chosen window — this month, last month, this quarter, last quarter, or year-to-date. Five periods, one dropdown.
Running balance chart
Monthly buckets of inflow, outflow, net, and a balance line that walks forward to your real current balance — so you see the trend, not just a snapshot.
Upcoming expenses projection
Pending payment-arrangement instalments — both what you owe and what's owed to you — and active subscription costs, projected beyond the current period. A termijn that's already overdue is folded into the first month instead of silently dropped.
Period VAT/BTW summary
An informational output-VAT summary across five rate buckets — standard (21%), reduced (9%), zero, reverse-charge, and exempt — computed from your issued invoices. KOR-aware, and clearly labelled as not a return-ready figure.
A worked example
A consultant checking Monday morning
A one-person consultancy has two bank accounts linked, three active subscriptions (hosting, accounting software, a co-working desk), and one outgoing payment arrangement for a tax bill split into instalments. Opening the overview on "this quarter" shows:

Illustrative figures — your own numbers come from your own linked accounts. The next tax instalment and the three subscription renewals already show up in the upcoming-expenses projection below the chart, so nothing lands as a surprise.

This overview never creates or edits a row. Register and manage the bank accounts feeding it on Bank Accounts & Transactions, and keep track of every recurring cost that shows up in the upcoming-expenses projection on Subscriptions.
Frequently asked questions
Does the cash-flow overview create or edit anything?
No. It's read-only by design — it never creates or edits a row. Register accounts and import statements on Bank Accounts & Transactions, and manage recurring costs on Subscriptions; the overview only aggregates what's already there.
Which periods can I view?
Five: this month, last month, this quarter, last quarter, and year-to-date. Each recomputes the summary strip, the running-balance chart, and the monthly breakdown table.
Is the VAT summary something I can file with the Belastingdienst?
No — it's explicitly labelled informational, not a return-ready figure. It covers output VAT only, computed from your issued invoices across five rate buckets (21% standard, 9% reduced, 0% zero, reverse-charge, exempt). Input VAT, your ledger, and the actual filing are out of scope.
What if I'm registered for the KOR small-business scheme?
The VAT summary detects it automatically: every bucket zeroes out and the page shows a disclaimer, because a KOR issuer doesn't charge or remit VAT in the first place.
Does it work before I've linked a bank account?
The panel still renders — payment-arrangement instalments and subscription costs don't need a bank account. What's missing is the projected running balance, since there's no real balance to anchor it to; we leave that column out rather than show a fabricated €0 starting point.
