BlueLandscape Invoicing vs Rompslomp.

Rompslomp starts charging per sent invoice from 1 November 2026 — the same pricing unit we've used from day one. Here's an honest comparison from the team that built BlueLandscape.

Where Rompslomp wins

Rompslomp is a full bookkeeping platform. If you need a bank feed, VAT returns (BTW-aangifte), expense tracking, a free Starter subscription, and 20 free quotes a month — Rompslomp does all of that. We don't.

If invoicing is one feature inside a bigger bookkeeping flow you need, pick Rompslomp.

Where we win

If invoicing is the only thing you need a tool for — and your bookkeeping happens elsewhere (your accountant's portal, your own spreadsheet, or simply a folder of PDFs and UBLs) — BlueLandscape is faster, more transparent, and more pleasant:

  • Speed of drafting. You type a sentence; the invoice exists. Rompslomp's flow runs through a bookkeeping form.
  • No fee at all. Sending an invoice costs €0, at any volume — compare that to Rompslomp's current per-invoice figure on their pricing page.
  • UBL/Peppol with every send. With us it's always on, no separate tier.
  • Same address book across our tools. Companies and persons are shared across the suite — interviews, administration, and time-tracking already read the same client list, and expenses will too when it ships.

Migrating from Rompslomp

Not yet supported. We'll build an importer when a real customer asks. For now: if you're moving over, the manual one-time export of contacts + a fresh start with new invoice numbering is what most early users do.

Our honest take

If you're a ZZP'er sending 10–30 invoices a month and your accountant handles your bookkeeping, BlueLandscape is the better fit. If you need full bookkeeping and VAT returns alongside invoicing yourself, Rompslomp is the better fit.

There's no shame in using both — they're not competing for the same minutes of your day.
