BlueLandscape · Invoicing · vs Payt

BlueLandscape vs Payt.

Payt automates accounts-receivable management — reminders, escalation, phone outreach, collections handover. BlueLandscape ships automated escalating reminders and a payable debtor portal today, built into the same AI suite as your invoicing. Honest comparison.

Same job, different depth

Payt fills a specific gap: once the invoice is out the door, Payt takes over with reminders until the customer pays. Friendly email after a few days, formal email after two weeks, phone-call prompt or collections handover for long overdue cases. It's a focused tool that can be hugely valuable for SMBs with many outstanding receivables, especially ones that need a fully custom flow per client.

BlueLandscape isn't invoicing-only anymore: every open invoice gets an escalating reminder schedule too — courtesy, friendly, firm, then final tone, timed relative to the due date, sent automatically by an hourly job and rendered by AI (with a fixed-template fallback so a reminder is never blocked on model availability). It stops the moment payment lands, or the moment a customer opts out. What we don't have yet is Payt's depth: a fully custom schedule per client, phone calls, and a collections handover.

Where Payt wins today

  • Per-customer schedule customization. Payt lets you set a fully custom step sequence per client. Our schedule is one org-wide cadence, switched on or off per company or per invoice — not yet a different sequence per client.
  • Integrations with accounting platforms. Payt connects to Exact, Moneybird, AFAS, Twinfield, etc. — sync outstanding invoices automatically.
  • Phone work. Payt offers optional outbound phone services for stubborn unpaid invoices. We're not going to do that.
  • Collections handover. For genuinely unpaid invoices, Payt can hand off to a collections agency.
  • Proven track record. Payt has been running for years with mid-market SMB customers. Our reminders are newer.

How ours differs

Now that reminders are live, the main differentiators are:

  • Same conversation. No separate tool to configure. Turn reminders on, describe your cadence, and adjust it any time — the AI handles it.
  • One client base for everything. The companies you invoice, interview, and administer are the same. No sync between platforms.
  • Included in the send fee. Reminders are free, bundled into the €0.20 per-invoice send fee — no separate charge, no subscription.
  • AI-personalised body, per tone. Each reminder is rendered per invoice, courtesy through final tone, with a fixed-template fallback if the model is unavailable.

What you can do now

Two options, depending on your situation:

  1. BlueLandscape only: turn on reminders in chat ("remind ACME again, and escalate if they haven't paid in 14 days"), set the schedule once, and let it run — free, included in the €0.20 send fee, no separate tool to log into.
  2. Pair with Payt: if you need a fully custom per-client schedule, phone outreach, or a collections handover for genuinely unpaid invoices, keep Payt for the deep AR work and use BlueLandscape for the invoicing. The UBL data from every invoice is cleanly structured and imports into Payt via your accounting platform.

Our honest take

If you have a real receivables problem today — many outstanding invoices, customers paying late structurally, and you want a fully custom cadence per client, phone outreach, or a collections safety net — Payt is still the deeper tool.

If your reminder needs are the common case — a consistent escalating schedule that runs itself until the invoice is paid — BlueLandscape now ships that as part of invoicing, in the same chat as the rest of your workflow. No separate tool, no sync, no second login. Pair both if you want Payt's phone and collections depth on top.
